Odalys C. Pérez, MS, LIMHP- RPT
Have your attorney suggested that you obtain a report from an immigration evaluation therapist? Are you wondering what type of immigration cases benefit from a psychological evaluation? In some immigration cases, a psychological evaluation report can be very valuable evidence and has the power to change the outcome of your case. I have provided psychological immigration evaluations throughout the last ten years and possess extensive experience in conducting Mental Health Evaluations and detailed written reports for Hardship Evaluations (I-601 & I-601 Waivers) as well as Trauma Evaluations (U-Visa, VAWA petitions, Asylum, T-Visa).
I am a bilingual (English-Spanish) and bicultural therapist, fully licensed in the state of Nebraska and Iowa. My immigration evaluations include a thorough biopsychosocial history; behavioral observations and interpretations; clinical assessment, DSM-5tm diagnoses, and the administration of different screening tools to support clinical diagnoses.
As an immigrant myself, I am very well aware that there are many hoops to jump through to obtain legal status to remain or return to the U.S. I want to help and be part of the solution for many families. I can help by conducting the mental health evaluation. I am passionate about making the report comprehensive and I strictly follow immigration standards.
